It has been a rough ride for the Cleveland Cavaliers this season, and here are five things that they can address in the offseason. Hope you enjoy my list, and if you have any disagreements feel free to hit me up on twitter. My handle is @AllDave_AllDay. You can bet that Dan Gilbert and Kyrie Irving will both make an appearance on this list, and to be brutally honest, their future together does not look bright.
This one is probably not realistic, because Gilbert is the owner of the team. Leadership starts at the top though, and Gilbert's decision making has not been the type that you want to filter down throughout your organization. The results show on the court.
Kyrie Irving has not been the greatest leader this season, and his youth is probably the main reason for that. If they could bring in a veteran point guard to help Irving find his way, then it could considerably help his development down the road. Maybe a J.J. Barea? Someone with championship experience.
Mike Brown has been quit on by his team before, but this is getting crazy. The lack of defense is quite concerning, because that is what Brown has hung his hat on in the past. Bad execution on offense and defense is not a great combination for Brown's employment hopes this offseason.
This has really not worked out well for either side. Maybe a trade will be in the works during the offseason. Bennett's numbers have not been pretty, and the team chemistry has been off all season.
It has been a long time since the decision, but the hurt is still there for some Cavs fans. There is no longer a giant "Witness" billboard in downtown Cleveland, but it would be interesting to see what they would put up if he came back. Witness again?
