Now that the regular season is finally coming to an end, it is time to focus all of our attention on the most exciting players who will be playing in the postseason. Here are the top five star players to watch in the playoffs.
Yes, the Indiana Pacers are struggling heading into the postseason. But nevertheless, Paul George definitely made a name for himself by averaging 19 points, seven rebounds, and five assists per game in the playoffs last season. Although the Pacers might have lost their edge, it will be interesting to see if George can recapture some of that magic he displayed last year.
Considered by many to be this season's Defensive Player of the Year, Joakim Noah has improved every season that he has been in the NBA. He is averaging 12.6 PPG, 11.2 RPG, to go along with 5.2 APG — all career-highs. Noah has proven that he is more than just an energy guy, and is now a must-watch player when the playoffs begin.
Stephen Curry is a must-watch player in the shootaround, he's a must-watch player in the preseason, and he is a must-watch player in the regular season. With that said, why would anybody not want to watch Curry in the postseason as well? He can light it up from downtown at any given moment, and is averaging 42 percent from behind the 3-point line.
Kevin Durant is well on his way to his first MVP award for the Oklahoma City Thunder. He's easily one of the best players in the NBA, and there is no telling what Durant might be able to accomplish in the postseason. On top of that, Durant might be the best pure scorer the league has seen since Tracy McGrady, Allen Iverson and Michael Jordan. Do not miss out on seeing Durant in the playoffs.
LeBron James' game is simply a thing of beauty. He can get to the rim easy, knockdown an open jumper, or create shots for his teammates. As King James goes for another championship ring, there will more than likely be plenty of opportunities to watch him during the playoffs since the Miami Heat expect to be in the finals.
