Even without their best player in Derrick Rose, the Chicago Bulls have the ability to make a deep run in the playoffs. The Bulls are often forgotten when talking about the beasts of the East because they don't have a lot of offensive firepower. Regardless, Tom Thibodeau will have this team playing winning basketball. Here are five reasons why the Bulls will win the 2014 NBA Finals.

The Bulls are a fierce bunch, and they are always up for a challenge. Chicago has beaten Indiana and Miami this year a few times each, and they will most likely have the chance to play them again in the playoffs. Having this experience is crucial because Chicago knows what it takes to beat the the top two seeds in the east.

Let's make it clear here, the Atlanta Hawks are six games under .500 at 37-43 and they clinched a spot in the playoffs. Let's compare that record to the eighth seed in the Western Conference. The Memphis Grizzlies are 15 games above .500, and they are still fighting to make the playoffs. The Eastern Conference is weak, and this is good news for the Bulls.

Since taking over as the head coach in 2010, Tom Thibodeau became the fastest coach in the history of the NBA to win 100 games. There has been some rift between Thibodeau and management, but there is no question about how capable he is of being a championship-winning coach. Thibodeau is arguably the best coach in the NBA who hasn't won an NBA championship.

Derrick Rose only played in 10 games this year, and Chicago's season looked lost after their captain went down. Although Rose is the best player on this roster, Joakim Noah is the heart and soul of this team. He isn't the best offensive player, but Noah is the best passing forward/center in the league. Often, Noah will be running Chicago's offense. He is also one of the best players on defense in the NBA. Noah is truly a special player.

Ever since Thibodeau took over, Chicago's defense has been the piston that has kept them going. Their gritty play is the reason why so many teams have trouble scoring over 90 points against them. Chicago's frontcourt consists of two playmakers in Noah and Taj Gibson. Pairing those two big men with pesky Kirk Hinrich, it is easy to see why Chicago thrives on defense. For the Bulls to win it all, they have to bring their A-game on defense.
