The 2013-14 season is finally coming to a close and Boston Celtics fans couldn’t be more relieved. It’s been a long season and we’re are happy to see it come to conclusion. Hopefully, the rebuilding phase only lasts one season and Danny Ainge has something up his sleeve in the offseason.

The Celtics have done a sufficient job tanking and are tied for the fifth-worst record. However, their mini-winning streak has pushed them back a few spots in the lottery race. The Celtics cannot afford to win any more games. Nonetheless, here is what is in store for the 25-55 Celtics this week as they play games No. 81 and No. 82.

April 14 at Philadelphia 76ers

Boston’s first game of the week is against the “kings of tanking.” The 76ers have lost all but two games since the All-Star Break and have the second-worst record in the league. One of those wins was against the Celtics nearly two weeks ago. In fact, the 76ers have beaten Boston twice this season. However, I don’t think the Celtics will be so lucky this time. Unfortunately, they will not lose this game.

Prediction: BOS 108, PHI 102

April 16 at Washington Wizards

The last time these two teams met, the Wizards annihilated the Celtics. Washington dominated the boards and controlled the paint with their bigs. Washington may rest their players for the playoffs, but I still think the Celtics will conclude their dismal season with a loss to the Wizards.

Prediction: WAS 111, BOS 104
