The Houston Rockets are being pegged by NBA pundits as a force to be reckoned with in the Western Conference, but what must the Rockets do to keep this up? The follow questions may provide the answer.
It's very clear the Asik is not happy playing backup to Dwight Howard. So a big question for the Rockets this summer is what to do about their unhappy backup center? The most likely option: trade him.
Howard has been a perfect complement to the Rockets this season, but he still needs to improve his offensive skill in order to join Moses, Hakeem and Yao as one of the greatest centers in Rockets history.
Beverley has been a pleasant surprise for the Rockets, but is he the guard who can lead Houston to a title? With Rajon Rondo likely on the way out in Boston, the question is will the Rockets stick with Beverley, or try to go after the more experienced point guard?
Rumors are swirling that the Rockets are thinking about packaging their emerging star with Jeremy Lin in a trade package that would land the team another star. It's no secret that the Rockets are searching for a third wheel to Harden and Howard, but in reality, they may already have the third-wheel in Parsons, which makes their rumored shopping of the sharpshooter baffling.
All indications point towards Lin being shown the door this summer, which is bittersweet because he was consider the answer to Houston's point guard problems when he signed that atrocious free agent deal in 2012. Lin still has the ball skills to be an impact player, so expect plenty of offers for him in the offseason.
