LeBron James Fed Up With Fouls, Makes Irrational Comments About Fighting Opponents
It’s hard to like a guy like LeBron James these days. He’s good, he’s cocky and he joined a team with two other superstars in order to win the NBA title. The Miami Heat star made some controversial comments about getting fouled hard on Friday morning.
LeBron on not retaliating to hard fouls: “If this was the 1980s, I’d come up swinging.”

While many might just overlook comments like this, I’m here to say that this shouldn’t be just another dumb comment made by an NBA player.
Sure, LeBron is frustrated by all the hard fouls he gets, but that’s what happens in the NBA these days and it’s not nearly as bad as it used to be. I mean, go back and look at basketball in the 1980s and 1990s and tell me that he would have been able to make it without getting ejected for fighting.
In the 1980 and 90s, players intentionally went after each other if they drove to the lane and this is just another sad comment by James because he usually gets the calls anyway.
Okay LeBron, so if this were 1980, you would come up swinging every time you got fouled hard? Heck, the fouls back then were so vicious, you probably wouldn’t have been able to get up to take a swing.
Maybe this is just a little preview to LeBron’s temper that we haven’t really seen before?
Either way, LeBron should just keep his mouth shut because Michael Jordan would have never made comments like that.
