Donald Trump Weighs In On Donald Sterling Situation, Points Finger At Girlfriend
Everybody is weighing in on the Donald Sterling situation, even another famous Donald.
Donald Trump stopped by Fox and Friends on Monday morning to give his thoughts on the Los Angeles Clippers owner. Not only did he sound off on Sterling, he also threw his girlfriend under the bus:
“He got set up by a very, very bad girlfriend, let’s face it. She’s called ‘the girlfriend from hell.’What he said was terrible and despicable and a very strong action is going to be taken…I don’t know what you do, it’s so bad. She was baiting him and she’s a terrible human being and he gave horrible answers and disgusting answers.”
The second part of that quote involved Trump being asked if he thought Sterling could fight the allegations since he was basically set up by his girlfriend.
Even if there is something that Sterling can legally do, he’s already been tried and convicted in the court of public opinion. People think he’s a guilty, racist scumbag — and they want him out of the NBA.
Trump’s comments on his girlfriend are accurate, but probably not necessary. She is a bad girlfriend for setting him up. But at the same time, at least she did bring his terrible thoughts to light.
In fairness to Trump he did call the comments ‘despicable’ and he thinks that Sterling should be ‘expelled’ from the NBA.
We’ll all know a lot more about the situation on Tuesday, as the league is expected to make an official announcement.
