2014 NBA Draft: 5 First-Round Options for Miami Heat

The Miami Heat obviously do not have a lot of glaring needs at the moment, but Pat Riley is always looking for ways to fill out his bench. For those keeping track? I do not think that LeBron James is going to leave South Beach. Here are five players that the Heat might look at in the late first round.

You could call me an ACC guy, and you probably would not be wrong. This guy can flat out score though, and it would not surprise me to see him lead all rookies in scoring next season. That prediction would not apply if drafted by the Heat, but he would be a lethal scoring option next season.

4. Glenn Robinson III

This pick would greatly please Jalen Rose. The Heat have some shifting parts at the wing position, and I just do not see Shane Battier and Ray Allen lasting much longer. Robinson would be a pretty nifty young replacement for either of those two.

3. Shabazz Napier

Shabazz proved himself to be a big time player this March, but there have still been questions about his pro potential. What do I think? Well, just imagine how good he would have been in March if he had access to unlimited food.

2. P.J. Hairston

You know what LeBron James likes at this point right? Rim defenders and three point shooters. Hairston would provide one of those things, and he could even help to keep Michael Beasley company on the weekends. Hehe.

1. Tyler Ennis

For this kid they would have to trade up, but he would be a significant upgrade over the Mario Chalmers and Norris Cole pu-pu-platter. Ennis has the ability to hit the buzzer beating shot, but it is his calm flow with the ball that impresses me the most.
