The Miami Heat are not worried. But if you are a Heat fan, then you would definitely have cause to be worried when it comes to Paul Pierce and the Brooklyn Nets, who have four wins and zero losses against Erik Spoelstra’s team this season. Do not fear though.
LeBron James said recently that he has not felt this good physically since his honeymoon, and it is taking every ounce of will power within my body to keep from making a crass joke at the moment about that. Needless to say, James is probably going to put up some pretty big numbers during the series to come. That is the best that I can do there without getting fired.
My prediction is that the Heat are not going to mess around at all in this series and should get off to a good start in Game 1. The Nets could still make things interesting and bump the series to six or seven games, but ultimately Dwyane Wade and James will not fail on Tuesday night or in the series overall.
The Nets will prove to be a great warmup for the Heat’s Eastern Conference Finals series, that is, for whoever James and company end up playing there. You could make a case that they want Paul George and the Indiana Pacers in the next round, but I think that John Wall’s Washington Wizards might shock the world in that semi-final series.
Enjoy the upcoming playoffs games of the Conference Semi-Finals round. It’ll be a thrill ride if they’re anywhere near as exhilarating as the first round.
