LeBron James Shows the Brooklyn Nets What 4-0 in the Regular Season Means

When I wrote an article claiming that the Miami Heat would use the Brooklyn Nets as a warmup for the Eastern Conference Finals, it definitely drew a lot of criticism, which I am more than happy to share.

After last night’s game? I am feeling pretty good about my prediction, and if you missed my piece the first time then read it and weep!

LeBron James said that he had not felt this rested since his honeymoon, which made me want to make quite a few crass jokes. I managed to hold back though, which might surprise a lot of my regular readers. The (now) former MVP’s words after the game spoke to how good the Heat felt last night, and the fans of South Beach could be busting out their brooms by the end of this series.

“It was great that we were able to come out the way we did after being off eight days,” James said to Rachel Nichols after the game. “We got a lot of work in. We had eight days off of not playing a basketball game but Spo got us in the gym. (We) got each other in the gym. We made each other accountable throughout the layoff and it proved tonight.”

The Heat should prove themselves to be better than the Nets and probably the rest of the Eastern Conference over the next couple weeks, and they could be punching their ticket to the Finals sooner rather than later.

Be sure to keep an eye on us throughout the week for more updates on the playoffs and all of the news surrounding it. Look for the Heat to go up on the Nets 2-0 tomorrow night, and it would be shocking to me if this series went more than five games.
