As the Indiana Pacers continue to locate their team identity, the 2014 NBA Draft may have some diamonds in the rough that could help them find themselves, so to speak. The Pacers may have to dig deep in the draft to find what they are looking for due to the lack of picks, but whoever they find will be a much needed addition to the struggling lineup.
Andre Dawkins is has an NBA-type body, so the physical transition should not be difficult for him. His ability to shoot the three-ball with high efficiency will be welcomed to the Pacers' offense.
The undersized guard is NBA ready and has a few attributes that league scouts have taken notice of. He has a great first step and aggressive mindset on offense. He can create his own shot and can score in transition, which are big areas of focus in the association.
Kendall Williams is a combo guard who can get into traffic and create for others. He as a questionable shot, but makes up for it with his athleticism and energy.
The Arizona Wildcats' guard has put in three years and is ready to show the NBA what he can do. He has improved every year in college and finished last season with 16.3 points and 4.1 rebounds. Johnson may be a great backup point guard on an NBA team.
Former Tar Heel standout, P.J. Hairston has already done a stint in the NBADL and has shown his ability to go to the next level. His shooting ability will be most sought after as well as his solid, physical frame. He can provide some depth to the Pacers' bench and may even earn a starting spot at the rate they are going this year.
