5 Teams That Won't be Happy With 2014 NBA Lottery Results

NBA Draft Losers

The NBA draft lottery approaches, and it is always a fun time of year for basketball junkies. So much is determined by the draft order, and a lot of decisions end up being made as a result of what happens in the lottery. Here are the five teams that will likely come out of the drawing disappointed. We can't all be the Chicago Bulls who were a statistical improbability to land Derrick Rose.

The Lakers will probably not make a coaching decision until after the draft order is set, which puts Showtime at a tremendous disadvantage. Their recent proclamation that they would not include Kobe Bryant in coaching conversations was completely absurd, and I expect the bad times to keep on rolling for the second best team to inhabit the Staples Center.

4. The Utah Jazz

The Jazz would be thrilled to end up with Jabari Parker, but any other result for them would be a failure in my mind. Maybe that is not the case in their mind, but they have to miss out on John Stockton first before we can worry about that.

3. The Detroit Pistons

The Pistons recently shook things up with their decision to hand over the keys of the franchise to Stan Van Gundy, and the draft should be one of the biggest first steps for the new regime.

The Cavs fired Mike Brown recently for what felt like the second time in two years, and it will be interesting to see who their new pick is. Brown should probably take a little time to chill on the beach with all of his money, and I honestly feel bad that he has bad to endure all of this b.s.

1. The Boston Celtics

This one would probably hurt the most people. Celtics fans have been wishing for an elite player, and that is especially true considering that they punted last season away. The Lucky Irish might not be so lucky on lottery night though, and they might end up living through the draft for the next five years.

James Harden Teaches Defense As Poorly As He Plays It

This is an unfortunate video. James Harden appears to be doing the right thing by making an appearance at a youth basketball event, yet the example he sets while defending some of the players is comical considering how poor of a defender he is off of the NBA hardwood.
