The Orlando Magic are heading into year two of their rebuilding phase, and the Magic are really on the cusp of putting something special together. However, it seems like the Magic are missing a couple of pieces to the puzzle to make their comeback complete. Here are five ways the Magic can get back into the playoff picture next year.
Vaughn's inability to settle on a roster rotation ultimately doomed the Magic last year, as the team could not find any continuity on offense and at times lacked the fire to complete on some nights. It is imperative for Vaughn to settle on a consistent rotation next year if Orlando wants to get in on the postseason party.
Harkless was the team's starting small forward for a bulk of last season, and although he is one of their best one-on-one defenders, his offense leaves a lot to be desired, and opposing teams exploited that weakness. Harkless would serve the team better as the sixth man off the bench.
Afflalo is on the cusp of becoming an elite two guard, and the Magic would really be wise to keep him in the fold. Afflalo is their most consistent offensive weapon and a great one-on-one defender who meshes well with Orlando's young prodigies.
Harris is a really special talent who has the gifts to be a nightmare to opposing forwards. Vaughn needs to make him a starter instead of a sixth man, because it would do wonders for the Magic's sometimes tattered offense.
Oladipo should be a starter next season, as this guy is just too good to be coming off the bench. Oladipo should mesh well with the starting point guard -- whoever it will be -- and the rest of the starting unit.
