The various sports drink companies that don’t have LeBron James on their list of athlete endorsers are having a field day at the expense of the self-proclaimed king. Following James’ exit from Game 1 of the NBA Finals due to severe cramping, multiple other star athletes including Dez Bryant took to Twitter to let casually everyone know how they stay hydrated.

It’s safe to say the Dallas Cowboys‘ receiver wouldn’t have tweeted that in the middle of the NFL offseason had James not left the Heat’s 110-95 loss to the San Antonio Spurs with under four minutes left to play. The temperature inside the AT&T Center in South Texas was in the low 90s since the air conditioning was out in the building, but James was the only player who suffered from the high temperatures.
LeBron’s dehydration brought out all the Heat haters who haven’t had much to say during Miami’s back-to-back championships over the last two years as Twitter was flooded with memes about James’ lack of toughness.
In his official blog, Metta World Peace explained why LeBron should get a pass for the incident, but baseball fans across the world don’t agree except for Miami fans. Either way, the stock of several sport drink companies could go up in the next few days at James’ expense.
