The Orlando Magic improved slightly in 2013-14, and the team will look to join the playoff party in 2014-15. So what will the Magic have to do to reach those goals? Let's find out.

The Magic went on the record saying that they will not spend big on free agents this year. But they might want to reconsider, given their woes at point guard. Kyle Lowry had a career year as a Toronto Raptor, and he could be the answer for Orlando at PG. But the team will have to open up their checkbook to get him.

The bench was another problem area for the Magic, as late-season injuries forced key reserves to become starters. Another problem was that Andrew Nicholson, who had a solid rookie season, took a couple of steps back this season. If the Magic are determined not to spend big on a big free agent, then they must open their wallets to improve their bench.

3. Clear Out Some Dead Weight

When I say "clear out some dead weight," I really mean get rid of Ronnie Price. Price just could not find a role on this team, and when you can't find a role on a team as offensively challenged as Orlando was last season, then it may be time to find a new home and make room for more productive players.

2. Re-Sign Tobias Harris

Harris is entering the last year of his contract, and this is a talent Orlando can ill-afford to let go. The Magic must re-sign the freakishly talented forward, as Harris is on his way to being a special player in the league.

The biggest priority for the Magic this offseason is to figure out what to do with their star shooting guard. Afflalo turned in an All-Star worthy season, and it would be wise for the Magic to hold on to the talented guard to make a playoff push next year -- especially since the team fell out of the top 3 in the NBA Draft Lottery.
