Kevin Love Should Stop Playing the Minnesota Timberwolves for a Bunch of Fools
I know that Kevin Love is probably angry that he has never been in the playoffs since he entered the league, but he must hold himself accountable for that as well. The power forward has made his intention to leave the Minnesota Timberwolves quite clear, and that was even before his highly covered trip to Boston and visit with Rajon Rondo.
Flip Saunders is literally doing everything in his power to keep Love in town, and that includes becoming the Wolves’ head coach once again. Ricky Rubio has also reached out to his power forward recently in the media, and the point guard expressed hope that the situation would change.
The Wolves could roll the dice, and see how next season goes. However, if they get to the trade deadline with little playoff hopes, then it might be time to pull the trigger. They appear to be handcuffed for the moment, because the power forward will only sign an extension to a team that he wants to remain with longterm. My opinion? The Wolves should just ditch him to the highest possible bidder, and they should not worry about whether their PF will sign an extension.
As far as Love’s behavior? Let me just deliver a little personal message. Just stop being a jerk Kevin. You are going to find your way out of town eventually, and you could at least be respectful to the team that gave you a shot back when you were just a chubby center out of UCLA.
