2014 NBA Draft: 5 Prospects the Phoenix Suns Must Avoid

The Phoenix Suns own three first-round picks in this summer's NBA draft, so their decision making will be crucial to their future as a franchise. They enjoyed surprising success last season, but ultimately they were denied a trip to the playoffs. Eric Bledsoe and Goran Dragic need a little bit of help. These are five players who would fit awkwardly in Phoenix.

5. Tyler Ennis- Syracuse

The Suns already have a number of point guards at their disposal; that reality would make Tyler Ennis a bit redundant on the Suns, which is a term from the British version of "The Office" for any who are familiar. The former Syracuse floor general probably would have liked to stay in school, but his draft stock almost demanded that he enter the pool.

4. Rodney Hood- Duke

I would prefer Doug McDermott on this team, and you can bet that it has a lot to do with his shooting. Rodney Hood had a decent season with the Duke Blue Devils, but I am not fully convinced of his NBA talent.

3. Jordan Adams- UCLA

Jordan Adams would fit in many places in the NBA; however, the Phoenix Suns are not the right team. The forward would probably be thrilled to stay on the West Coast, but this just does not seem like the perfect place.

2. Mitch McGary- Michigan

Mitch McGary is not exactly the most dependable draft pick that you could take, and the Suns would certainly not grab him in the first round. If he were available in the second round, then this could be a legitimate option.

Gary Harris had a fantastic season with the Michigan State Spartans, and I am sure that Tom Izzo would vouch for the forward. I'm not as fully convinced that Harris would fit in on the Phoenix Suns, but he could still prove me wrong.
