The Golden State Warriors are entering a new phase of development next season. Every year there is roster overhaul in some shape or form, but it is not every day that you welcome a new head coach into the fold. Obviously, Steve Kerr will make some changes to the offensive system that they run, and it should be fun to watch their evolution unfold. These are five predictions for what will happen between now and October.
David Lee is being mentioned in almost as many trade talks as Kevin Love these days. They should both get moved by the end of the offseason, and it would not surprise me to see both shipped during the NBA draft.
Stephen Curry did not exactly hide his attitude towards the Warriors sacking Mark Jackson, and the former point guard was calling games with Jeff Van Gundy as a result. It is amazing to me that both of them are not mentioned more when it comes to coaching vacancies, but that is the world we live in.
Jordan Crawford is a shooter without a conscience, but that could help him win a starting spot in the right situation. A couple roster moves would have to happen; however, if they traded Klay Thompson, then we could see the former Washington Wizards' shooting guard get a chance to start.
Andre Iguodala was supposed to be the missing piece for the Warriors last season, but he just could not bring enough to the table on the offensive end. Obviously, grabbing a player like Love would help on that end of the floor, but they will still need Iggy's defense in the playoffs.
You know how Love stopped by Fenway Park recently? I would expect him to be in California at some point this summer, and it would not surprise me to hear about him meeting up with Curry to shoot some jumpers.
