While the summer of 2014 might not be as crazy as the summer of 2010, there's still a ton of gossip for NBA fans to pay attention to. With the official start of free agency just a week away, let's take a look at some projections.

Here are landing spot predictions for the top 25 NBA Free Agents of 2014 (in no particular order):

25. Paul Pierce

The Truth is headed for a victory lap in Boston at some point in the future, but it's hard to see it being next season. If Kevin Garnett doesn't retire, look for Pierce to head back to Brooklyn for one last run at a title with his long-time partner in crime.

2014-15 Team: Brooklyn Nets

24. Luol Deng

24. Luol Deng

Deng is free to sign anywhere after being dealt to Cleveland midway through last season. You'd think that no player with options would want to play for the Cavs right now, so it's likely that Deng will be moving on. The Heat, Mavs and Hornets have all emerged as landing spots for the SF.

2014-15 Team: Dallas Mavericks

23. Shaun Livingston

Brooklyn Nets vs Miami Heat: Game Two

Livingston had a great 2013-14 campaign. He now looks to be close to the player he was before his horrific knee injury. He'll be owed a substantial raise from the Nets to stay in Brooklyn, because he flat out played at a bargain rate all of last season. If the Nets fail to trade for Jarrett Jack, look for Livingston to return.

22. Josh McRoberts

Josh McRoberts

McRoberts has opted out of his deal with Charlotte to become an UFA. The Hornets have made it clear that they'd like him to stay, but obviously the price has to be right. MJ's team does have plenty of funds to spend this summer, so the safe bet is that they'll bring the PF back.

2014-15 Team: Charlotte Hornets

21. Vince Carter

Carter's days in Dallas are more than likely over, and his days in the NBA are certainly numbered. Those two factors are leading many to believe that he'll head back 'home' for a victory lap next season.

2014-15 Team: Toronto Raptors

20. Kirk Hinrich

20. Kirk Hinrich

Hinrich will make a nice addition wherever he signs next season. But at this point, there are no leads whatsoever as to where he might play in 2015. The safe bet is that he'll return to Chicago, but don't rule out a contending team in need of a veteran making him an offer before it's all said and done.

2014-15 Team: Chicago Bulls

19. Shawn Marion

Just like Carter, Marion's days in Dallas could be over. You can't rule out his return, as he's supposedly open to one, but you really have to wonder how much Mark Cuban would be willing to pay him. Above all else, Marion has said that he wants to compete for a title wherever he signs.

2014-15 Team: Oklahoma City Thunder

18. Dirk Nowitzki

While you should never say never in the world of sports, you can pretty much take Dirk re-signing with the Mavs to the bank. The question -- how much less is he willing to take?

17. Rodney Stuckey

Rodney Stuckey

Stuckey's career with the Pistons appears to be over. He's free to sign anywhere and desperately needs a fresh start. What better place to get one than with the four-time defending Eastern Conference champions? Who also happen to need a PG...

2014-15 Team: Miami Heat

17. Chandler Parsons

Chandler Parsons option

Parsons is of the RFA variety this summer, so his chances of leaving Houston aren't great. But you can't rule out a team in need of a shooter making him a lucrative offer that the Rockets would think hard about matching.

2014-15 Team: Houston Rockets

16. Lance Stephenson

16. Lance Stephenson

Stephenson is as weird as he is talented. He needs to sign with a team that has a coach who's able to control him. But when it comes to the talented guard, it's tough to get a read on him. One thing that is for sure -- he's leaving the Pacers and signing on with a new team to be a star.

2014-15 Team: Charlotte Hornets

15. Darren Collison

15. Darren Collison

Collison is opting out of his current Clippers deal, but apparently wants to stay in L.A. If the Clippers are smart they'll pay him, because he proved to be huge last year when Chris Paul and J.J. Redick were on the shelf.

2014-15 Team: Los Angeles Clippers

14. Danny Granger

Just like Collison, Granger has opted out of his deal with the Clippers. If L.A. prioritizes Collison, there may not be enough money left over to re-sign Granger and others. Look for Granger to move on to another contender.

Big Baby is in the same boat with Collison and Granger, as he's opted out of his Clippers deal to become an UFA. Doc Rivers seems to really like Big Baby, so don't put it past the new team president to open up the checkout for the loudmouth forward.

The Mavericks are apparently interested in acquiring the veteran big man. But it's also no secret that he likes being a Laker and that he's good buddies with Kobe Bryant. It wouldn't be surprising to see him sign with Dallas, but the safe bet is him returning to L.A. for less money.

2014-15 Team: Los Angeles Lakers

11. Zach Randolph

Randolph has only a few days left to decide on whether or not to opt out of his current deal with Memphis. The Grizzlies are reportedly working on an extension for the big man, as they should be.

2014-15: Memphis Grizzlies

10. Mike Miller

10. Mike Miller

Miami Heat

Unlike Randolph, Miller is probably headed for the free agent market this summer. He's getting up there in age (34), but there will be no shortage of teams in need of veteran guards after him. In my book, he's likely to sign with a contender that needs help getting over the top. One team that fits the bill is apparently already interested in him too.

2014-15 Team: Oklahoma City Thunder

9. Ray Allen

The easy answer here for the three-point GOAT is retirement. But as we saw in the FInals, dude can still ball. Will he give it one more run with the Heat, or try his luck with another contender?

The Birdman is due a substantial raise, so he's chosen to opt of his current deal with the Heat. While I'm sure Pat Riley would love to have him back -- can he afford him?

7. Caron Butler

Butler proved to be a solid late-season acquisition for the Thunder in 2014. OKC will probably want him back at the right price, and he may very well want to return to the Thunder. But one other team from his past has also come up as a potential landing spot.

2014-15 Team: Washington Wizards

6. Boris Diaw

Boris Diaw

How huge was Boris Diaw for the Spurs in the 2014 Playoffs? The guy was lights out, while playing at an incredibly discounted rate. One or both of those things could change next season. However, his uniform should stay the same.

2014-15 Team: San Antonio Spurs

5. Patty Mills

5. Patty Mills

Mills shot himself to raise this summer. It's just a question of which team is going to give it him. While you can't rule out a return to SA, it's likely that Mills will want to be promoted to starting PG next season. He won't get that chance with the Spurs.

2014-15 Team: New York Knicks

4. Kyle Lowry

4. Kyle Lowry

Kyle Lowry

While Lowry's name has been lost among the other huge names that could be switching teams this summer, it doesn't change the fact that his decision will be huge. The NBA could really benefit from him staying with the up-and-coming Raptors, but his bank account could really benefit from him going elsewhere.

2014-15 Team: Los Angeles Lakers

3. Marcin Gortat

Here we have the best available big man in this year's UFA class. Would the Wizards be foolish to let him leave? You bet.

Ariza more likely to leave Washington than Gortat, but you get the feeling that it would take one heck of an offer for him to head elsewhere. The Mavs are reportedly interested in his services, so keep an eye on them in the coming days.

Like him or not, there's no denying that Melo is the top free agent of 2014. Will he stay, or will he go. As of now the internet is split. But obviously Anthony is considering all options before making his decision, or he wouldn't have opted out of his contract.
