5 Players the Los Angeles Lakers Would Be Genius to Land For Their First-Round Draft Pick

Los Angeles Lakers: 5 Players to Trade Their First-Round Pick For

The Los Angeles Lakers are hungry for a superstar to pair with Kobe Bryant, and they are looking for any possible way to make that happen. They would be happy to bring Kevin Love back home, but the PF has not expressed much public interest in joining the Black Mamba. Instead, the whispers surrounding the former UCLA big man all have to do with the Golden State Warriors. If they budge on moving Klay Thompson, then the trade could happen quickly.

The reasons to love the power forward's game are many and varied. You see what I did there? Kevin Love's rebounding, three point-shooting, old school outlet passes, wisely set screens, midrange shooting and fierce competitiveness are all qualities that would pair nicely with Kobe.

4. Raymond Felton

Yes, he did just get some good news about his off the court issues, and the Lakers could always use another point guard. Maybe a move to Los Angeles would rejuvenate Raymond Felton's career. The upside of the former North Carolina Tar Heel's recent problems is that the Lakers could get him on the cheap.

The Cleveland Cavaliers would have to get a lot back for the star point guard, and the Lakers would probably need to have a third team involved for this to be a possibility. Kyrie Irving's time in Ohio has been a roller-coaster ride. The Lakers missed out on the last superstar guard (Chris Paul) they tried to trade for, but whiffing again this summer might be too much for Jim Buss to bear.

2. Klay Thompson

You have already heard the rumors, but it seems that Steve Kerr and Jerry West nixed the idea of ditching the lesser member of the Splash Brothers. Obviously, getting Kevin Love in return would offset some of the shooting lost by the Warriors, but often fans forget how good of a defender that Klay Thompson is. Let's see if the Lakers can pry him away from their in-state rival.

Rajon Rondo could be on the block, and especially if the Boston Celtics are not able to land Kevin Love. My opinion is that ship sailed off into the night, but maybe another trip to Fenway Park would churn up the waters again. The enigmatic point guard would love to be able to play with a talent like Love; however, would he settle for Kobe Bean Bryant instead?

Seriously I would never watch another Laker game again (and I am a huge fan) if they traded their pick for Raymond Felton.

Haha I feel ya man. Somehow he got traded to Dallas at least.
