With Carmelo Anthony opting out of his contract with the New York Knicks, he is now free to sign anywhere he pleases. At this point, it is quite clear the reason he is forgoing the giant payday the Knicks owed him is because he wants to win a ring as soon as possible. That means fans can expect Anthony to sign where there is at least one more NBA superstar. Here’s a look at 10 superstars he should team up with to win a title.

The Boston Celtics definitely need someone to help with the offensive game, which is exactly what Anthony can provide. Having him team up with a top-notch point guard in Rajon Rondo will do wonders for the Celtics. The only issue is Anthony signing with Boston doesn’t exactly guarantee a championship within the next year.

Chris Bosh has no intentions of opting out of his contract with the Miami Heat. That means convincing Anthony to come to South Beach would make the Heat instant contenders once again, especially if the “Big Three” stick together. The big issue here is that a majority of the players on the roster will have to restructure their contracts in order to bring Anthony in. However, money isn’t necessarily a problem when talking about championships.

Like the Heat, the Houston Rockets would have to find a way to open up some cap room if they want to ink a deal with Anthony. With that being said, it would be worth it because he would give them a third offensive threat that would be enough to get Houston over the hump in the Western Conference. James Harden puts up big numbers on offense. Adding another threat like that could make the Rockets very dangerous.

Joakim Noah has been doing his part to bring Anthony to the Chicago Bulls. The center has been trying to get in contact with the small forward in order to persuade his decision. Noah would be able to lock down the inside while Anthony works the outside. It would be a team up that could finally bring the Bulls some more glory, especially if Chicago’s All-Star point guard can find a way to stay healthy.

6. Dwyane Wade

Like Bosh, Dwyane Wade isn’t going anywhere. He will finish up his career in Miami, which could be sooner rather than later. Wade’s knees are taking a toll, but he proved throughout last season that he could still play at a high level. Anthony will be able to help in the scoring department, which will take more pressure off the veteran. However, Wade will still play his part when necessary.

Dirk Nowitzki is desperate to land a big-time playmaker in Dallas, which is why he has stated he would take a pay cut if it meant giving the Mavericks an extra hand. Adding Anthony to the mix would give Dallas a legitimate shot to win a title, especially since there is a nice supporting cast to help him. On top of that, there is plenty of experience to go around.

4. Dwight Howard

If Anthony wants to win his first championship, he will need a legitimate center to help him out. Even though the Rockets are deemed a long shot to land the superstar, Dwight Howard’s presence could be enough to entice Anthony. Putting Harden, Howard, and Anthony on the same court together would be devastating for opponents.

3. Kobe Bryant

Kobe Bryant is at the tail end of his career. In fact, the Los Angeles Lakers signing Anthony would be more of a move to build for the future than anything else. With that being said, giving Bryant one more shot at a title could do wonders for the Lakers, which is why fans shouldn’t rule out the possibility of it happening.

2. Derrick Rose

If Derrick Rose can regain his athletic form that made him one of the most dangerous players in the game, adding Anthony to the mix would make the Bulls that much more exciting to watch. Giving Anthony a legitimate point guard who excels and a center who can take care of his own means Chicago might just be the best shot that he has to earning a ring.

There’s no guarantee that LeBron James stays with the Heat as rumors have been circulating that he will opt out. The reality is he isn’t going anywhere as Miami gives him the best opportunity to pat his legacy. The Heat have stated that landing Anthony is a long shot, but no one believed they could get Bosh, James, and Wade together either. If Anthony does sign with Miami then we may as well crown the Heat the 2014-15 champions.
