The last time the Utah Jazz were able to trade their way into the top three of the NBA Draft was in 2005, when they picked up Deron Williams. With the 2014 edition of the draft less than 48 hours away, the Jazz front office is surely working overtime to make sure that every option is explored. Here are five rumored scenarios that could unfold.

According to Marc Stein, the New York Knicks would like to swap Shumpert for a late first-round pick. The Jazz own pick No. 23 and probably don't plan on using all three of their selections. This could make Utah and New York perfect trade partners, especially if the Jazz are forced to part with Alec Burks in their quest to obtain the No. 1 pick.

Make no mistake about it, this is GM Dennis Lindsay's team. However, with the announcement that new head coach Quin Snyder has a staff in place, one has to wonder what kind of input they will have concerning the team's picks. Player development coach Johnnie Bryant in particular was held over from Tyrone Corbin's staff, and has been heavily involved in both the scouting/evaluation process, as well as the player workouts.

In the reported trade scenario involving the Cavs, their No .1 pick and the Utah Jazz, it was said that Utah was offering Derrick Favors and their No. 5 selection. Now it appears as though they may have offered Alec Burks as well. Apparently, members of Jazz management are split on offering the promising guard in a trade.

It's unclear whether this was part of Utah's offer or a requirement from the Cavaliers' side, but reports have the Jazz taking back the contract of Jarrett Jack in potential dealings. Jack has been a quality reserve throughout his career, but NBA teams usually see diminishing returns in guards on the wrong side of age 30.

Say what you will about Jabari Parker's faith and the Mormon connection with Salt Lake City. Despite the initial reports that Utah's inquiries with the Cavs centered around their coveting of Jabari Parker, some Jazz sources have stated that Andrew Wiggins would actually be their selection at No. 1.
