Kyle Lowry: 5 Updated Landing Spots Following the NBA Draft

Kyle Lowry has been mentioned when it comes to upgrading the point guard position in the free agency buzz lately and even more so after the hectic 2014 NBA Draft. The Miami Heat's acquisition of Shabazz Napier was approved on twitter by LeBron James, but that should not come as a surprise. It is hard to imagine the Big 3 parting ways, and this slideshow will examine whether Lowry would fit into South Beach or one of these other four spots.

The Miami Heat already addressed their point guard problem during the draft. Having a little insurance never hurts, though, right? Lowry would make LeBron James quite a lot happier than Mario Chalmers, which is like saying that marshmallows make a toddler more pleased than razor blades.

The Indiana Pacers could be a landing stop, but this would only occur if Lance Stephenson decided to go elsewhere. Hopefully the shooting guard, who famously blew in LeBron's ear, will not leave town. Larry Bird would still pick up the pieces, though, because he is not a man who suffers fools.

The Chicago Bulls have their eye on a different free agent, and you can be assured that Carmelo Anthony will receive a full-court press from them in the next week. Stay tuned, because the sweet shooting small forward is beginning to schedule his meetings. If Tom Thibodeau misses out on Melo, then they could make a run at Lowry to play with Derrick Rose. You also never know if D. Rose's knee is going to hold up.

The Houston Rockets would be an interesting destination for Lowry. Daryl Morey will try his best to land a big fish in the next couple weeks, but do not be surprised if he still ends up making a splash later in the summer. He is one of the most patient general managers when it comes to waiting for the best available trade, and it is one of his most underrated qualities.

This is another oddball pick. The Golden State Warriors are looking to give Stephen Curry some help this summer, and Lowry could fill the void left by Jarrett Jack's departure a couple seasons ago. It seems certain that Steve Kerr's new team will make at least one move before the season begins, but it just remains to be revealed what area of the team they will try to strengthen.
