Chicago Bulls Rumors: Pau Gasol Would Greatly Help Out the Offense

Pau Gasol Rumors

Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

The Chicago Bulls have been on the hunt ever since free agency started. Their No. 1 target is easily Carmelo Anthony, but the addition of Pau Gasol would greatly help out the offense. The best part about it is the fact that the Bulls are reportedly interested in him.

Gasol is not in his prime anymore, but he is still a very good player. Although the Los Angeles Lakers had a down year this past season, Gasol still put up 17.4 points per game and 9.7 rebounds per game. So not only can he score at a pretty high rate, he can clearly rebound the ball as well.

Chicago lacked a high-scoring offense this year. The defense was good, which is a big reason why the Bulls had a successful season. Getting Derrick Rose back would without a doubt help out the team in the offensive department, but one player is not going to make Chicago an offensive powerhouse.

Adding Anthony would go a very long way towards that, but adding Gasol would also help out quite a bit.

If Gasol wants to play for a title-contending team, he will sign with Chicago. Of course, it is not only his decision. I doubt the Bulls would be able to pick up both Melo and Gasol. If I were him, though, I would do my best to get on the Bulls. However, going to a team like the Oklahoma City Thunder would not be a bad idea either.

No matter what the case, Gasol is going to help out whatever team he plays for next season.

President Obama's Got Jokes About Warriors, 1995-96 Bulls

The Golden State Warriors recently visited the White House to be acknowledged for their 2014-15 NBA championship. As you may know, President Obama is a huge fan of basketball, and especially his beloved Chicago Bulls. While introducing the team, President Obama joked that he was in the presence of one member of the greatest team in basketball history with Steve Kerr on stage. The Warriors head coach was a member of the 1995-96 Bulls team that many think of as the greatest team of all time.

Pau Gasol Puts "Shake and Bake" On Kobe Bryant

The Los Angeles Lakers and Chicago Bulls squared off on Thursday night, so naturally all eyes were on former teammates Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol. The two had a nice embrace prior to opening whistle, but it was strictly business once the game got started. Don't believe me? Just check out this "Shake and Bake" executed to perfection by Gasol.

Bulls' Noah Comes Nowhere Close To Making Jumper

Joakim Noah is a tremendous hustler and a gritty basketball player who does all the dirty work. That being said, this jump shot was terrible. This was the worst attempt that I've ever seen in my life and I don't expect that Noah will be shooting any more than layups for a good while.
