While we all still wait on LeBron James‘ and Carmelo Anthony‘s decision, we continue to see valuable players signed left and right. Darren Collison is reportedly the next player to change teams, going from the Los Angeles Clippers to the Sacramento Kings. This could spell doom for point guard Isaiah Thomas.
Kings agree to terms on three year $16 million contract with Clippers free agent PG Darren Collison, source said.

Thomas has already been involved in many different rumors and if the Collison singing is a sign of things to come, Thomas could be playing for a different team next year.
Collison is coming off of a season where he averaged 11.4 points per game and 3.7 assists per game for the Clippers. You could say that Thomas had a more productive year. He put up 20.3 points per game and 6.3 assists per game. Of course, Collison had to play behind Chris Paul, so there is that. However, Collison did start 35 games last season.
Although Thomas is coming off of his best season yet, Collison is not a bad option. I doubt the Kings will want to spend the money on both of them, so Thomas could be on his way out.
It would not be a bad situation for Collison to backup Thomas, but once again, that would come at a good price to keep both on the team. It would be worth it if the Kings were contenders, but they finished 28-54 this past season, which isn’t exactly contender status.
No matter what the case, Sacramento seems to have a pretty good option at the PG position.
