Houston Rockets Rumors: Chris Bosh Would Help Create the New Big 3

Chris Bosh

Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

The Houston Rockets would clearly love to land superstar Carmelo Anthony. After all, Melo is one of the top scorers in the NBA. However, if Anthony doesn’t go to Houston, Chris Bosh would be one heck of a backup plan. Not to mention, he would help create the new Big 3. Houston style.

Bosh certainly has not been getting as much buzz as Pau Gasol, Anthony or LeBron James, but that is probably because most people expected him to play for Miami for yet another season. Well, Bosh is a free agent, which means he can play for any team he wants to.

And any team would be crazy to not want him. Sure, Bosh has not been on the same level that he was when he played for Toronto, but that is because he has played alongside King James and Dwyane Wade the last few seasons. Of course, he would certainly have to split the shots with Dwight Howard and James Harden, but two players of that talent level would find a way to make it work.

He would make the Rockets serious title contenders. They already are, despite losing early on in the playoffs this past season.

If LeBron is going to test the free-agent waters, then Bosh has every right to do so as well. He is still a great player and has many good seasons left in the tank.

Playing with the Big 3 in South Beach is ideal, but forming a new Big 3 in Houston is good for everyone involved. Well, maybe not the Heat. The Rockets may prefer Anthony, but Bosh would instantly make this team much better. No matter what the case, landing either player would be a huge win for the Rockets.

Harden, Wade Ice Game For Their Team in Final Min

Two of the best shooting (if not the two best) guards in the game both put their clutch gene on display last night. Within a few minutes of each other, Dwyane Wade and then James Harden both hit step-back jumpers in the final minute of the 4th quarter that iced the game for their team.

Josh Smith Fakes Dirk Nowitzki Out of His Shoes

Josh Smith has returned to the Houston Rockets via trade, and he made the most of his first game back. He scored 16 points off the bench, including this drive on Dirk Nowitzki that made Smith look like Hakeem Olajuwon. Could Ty Lawson and Josh Smith be the spark duo off the bench that rejuvenates this Rockets team?
