There were always rumors swirling around that LeBron James would join the Cleveland Cavaliers for another go in the summer of 2014. Well, the summer of 2014 is here and the Cavs actually have a real shot at bringing back the best player in the league. If he does actually return to Cleveland, let’s see what the starting five could look like.

Kyrie Irving is a lock at the point guard position. LeBron James being on the team or not, Irving will be the Cavs’ point guard. After that, things are up in the air.

Shooting Guard: Andrew Wiggins

Andrew Wiggins is arguably the most talented NBA prospect since LeBron James. How fitting would it be for him to play alongside James. Wiggins may need some time to develop, but landing LeBron is a very tricky process. Translation: If King James returns to Cleveland, Wiggins may be the only option at shooting guard. In no way is that a bad thing, though.

Small Forward: LeBron James

LeBron James would fit in perfectly at the small forward position. It is really that simple.

Power Forward: Tristan Thompson

Tristan Thompson averaged 11.7 points per game and 9.2 rebounds per game this past season. No matter what happens with the whole LeBron James thing, he will be starting at PF next season.

Center: Anderson Varejao

Spencer Hawes is no longer on the team and Anderson Varejao is a great option at center. The big man is a very reliable player and brings some veteran leadership to the team.
