Miami Heat Need to Start Thinking About a Plan B
The LeBron James returning to Cleveland rumors are really heating up. That is unfortunate for the Miami Heat. After all, LeBron is the best player in the world and the team could also lose Chris Bosh in the process. Miami needs to start thinking about a Plan B.
Maybe Pat Riley has already started calling other players. You never know. Hopefully he has for the team’s sake. At the very least, at least Riley has added a few role players this offseason.
If this team plans on competing even without LeBron and Bosh, it should start targeting players like Carmelo Anthony, Pau Gasol or really anyone.
Once and if the Big 3 dismantle in South Beach, every Heat fan is more than likely going to go into panic mode. It’s not going to be pretty.
But hey, at least Dwyane Wade will hopefully be back. Wade is not the player he used to be, though, and there is no way he can lead Miami to a title on his own. Hopefully I am wrong and hopefully Wade turns into his old self. Regardless, Wade will need some help.
I doubt Anthony or Gasol would even want to go to Miami, so this team may already be in trouble. The Cavs are already trying to make big moves and it seems like they are now the favorites to land King James.
It’s crazy to think about, but Miami may have to start from scratch after this offseason. The Heat have made four straight NBA Finals, but a lot of that arguably had to do with LeBron James.
