The NBA is now officially in the golden era, and LeBron James turning the Cleveland Cavaliers into his next masterpiece was today's bit of gossip. Ratings will be through the roof in 2015 and fans of basketball are latching onto the summer league as a way to stay connected to the game. Some might be missing out on the whispers coming out of Orlando's summer league, and so here are the five things I have heard concerning all of the young talent.

Kelly Olynyk has been a beautiful sight for Boston Celtic fans this summer, and his supporters better hope he does not get moved for Kevin Love. The big man has shown an ability to score at a high level, rebound decently, assist his teammates and create steals. That is not too terrible a combination of skills.

Marcus Smart did not shoot the ball well at the start of the summer schedule, but he has since sharpened things up. I am less concerned about Smart's jumper and more about how he will carry himself as a leader for this team, because Brad Stevens needs young players who will step up next season.

3. Zach LaVine Will Be A Great Pro

There are no questions about Zach LaVine's vertical leap, college pedigree or passion for the game. My only concerns are whether he will be able to pass, handle and shoot the ball with efficiency for the Minnesota Timberwolves, but the former UCLA player addressed many of those issues based on what new head coach Flip Saunders has said this summer.

At one point, Donald Sloan was averaging 18 points per game for the Indiana Pacers' summer league team. He appears to be a young man who will continue working hard, and Larry Bird could push for the young guard to get extended minutes.

Nerlens Noel, the former Kentucky Wildcats defensive anchor, remained a mystery to many last season, because the Philadelphia 76ers encouraged him to take his time returning from a scary ACL tear in college. He showed why many saw him as a No. 1 draft pick in 2013 with his play this summer, and he could be a dark horse candidate for rookie of the year.
