With each notable free-agent signing, it is becoming clear that the Los Angeles Lakers have their collective eyes focused on the 2015 free-agent class, and are content chalking this year up to another rebuilding season. Adding Jeremy Lin this past week is yet another salary that will come off of the books after this season, leaving the Lakers with a heaping amount of money to spend. Here is a potential starting lineup for next year’s Lakers team.

Unfortunately, unless something drastically changes, the Lakers may not be much better than they were last season, leaving them in prime position for a top lottery pick. Look for them to try to find Kobe Bryant’s successor in Selden Jr.

Gasol is entering his seventh season with the Memphis Grizzlies, and has established himself as one of the best centers in the NBA. He will be one of the most prized free agents in next year’s class, and the Lakers should try to lock up their second Gasol brother to strengthen their front court.

Randle was taken seventh overall this year by the Lakers, and with one year under his belt, he should be primed for a breakout season. Look for Randle and Gasol to form one of the most dominant big-man duos in the league.

The Lakers just locked up “Swaggy P” for four more years at a reasonable price, and they seem to be invested in him. He had an outstanding season last year in Kobe Bryant’s absence. Look for that production to decrease this year, but he should still be in line to hold down the wing with the Black Mamba entering the 2015 season.

Kobe will be entering into the final year of his monster contract, and possibly the final year of his playing career. The 2015-2016 season could very well be his last chance to capture his sixth title.

If Rondo makes it through this upcoming season with the Boston Celtics without getting traded, he will be another coveted free agent. The Lakers will need to address the point-guard position and he will be the best available.
