Michael Jordan is still the best player to ever play basketball. Sorry, LeBron James fans. Maybe LeBron will someday be considered the best ever, but that is not the case yet. With that said, Kobe Bryant is the best player since MJ. Read on to see five reasons why.

Call him a ball hog or whatever you want, but Kobe still scored 81 points in one game. That is the second most of all time. Michael Jordan can’t say he scored that much in one game, and neither can LeBron.

Kobe Bryant has been a lethal scorer for a very long time. He is averaging 25.5 points per game for his career. He even averaged 35.4 points per game in one season, and 30+ points per game in three different seasons.

Kobe has been in the league for a very long time. We all know that the Los Angeles Lakers are a very successful franchise. But did you know this: Kobe has been in the league for 18 years, and he has managed to make the postseason 15 times. Not too shabby.

Kobe has had some help over the years, but he still has five rings -- one short of Jordan. That is also three more than LeBron James and five more than Kevin Durant. By my count, he is beating both of those players in that department... combined.

Rings aside, LeBron James is one of the most talented players this sport has ever seen. However, he has not been in the league long enough to be considered the best player since Michael Jordan. Sure, 11 years is a good amount of time, but James has not accomplished enough yet. He is well on his way to breaking a bunch of records, already has a few to his name, but Kobe is currently the best player since MJ.
