The clear-cut consensus is that the point-guard position is the most loaded of all positions in the NBA today. Stars, such as Chris Paul and Russell Westbrook are often revered for being the best point guards in the league. But while people debate who the best point guards are, several other candidates can lay claim as being the best valued from a high-level performance standpoint for a relatively inexpensive and low cost.

Perhaps underrated or just flying below the radar, Jeff Teague has improved each year he has been in the league. In this past playoffs, Teague led the Hawks along with Paul Millsap, and together they pushed a much better Indiana Pacers team to the brink of elimination. At only million annually, Teague provides great value through his scoring, playmaking and his durability by only missing five games total in the last three seasons.

4. Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors - 2013-2014 Stats: 24.0PPG, 8.5APG, 4.3RPG, 47.1FG%, 88.5FT%, 42.4% 3P, 3.8 TO 2014-2015 Salary: $10.63 Million

Despite Stephen Curry’s college success and talent, he wasn't always a sure thing in the NBA. These past two seasons, Curry has become an elite player and one of the league's premiere superstars. Last season, Curry led all point guards in scoring, averaged over eight assists and shot lights out. Curry is just 26 years old, with room to grow as a 50-40-90 shooter and double-digit assists playmaker to complement his gifted scoring abilities.

3. Kyrie Irving, Cleveland Cavaliers - 2013-2014 Stats: 20.8PPG, 6.1APG, 3.6RPG, 43.0FG%, 86.1FT% 35.8% 3P, 2.7 TO 2014-2015 Salary: $7.07 Million

Since being drafted first overall in 2011, Kyrie Irving has been everything for the Cleveland Cavaliers. While he has not led the team into the playoffs, the return of Lebron James will help Irving with carrying the load, and allow him to play off the ball more often. Irving recently signed a max extension with the Cavaliers at million over five years, and is still on his rookie deal for next season, which makes him an incredible bargain.

This past season, Goran Dragic showcased his entire skill-set, realized his full potential and won the league’s Most Improved Player Award. After signing a four-year deal valued at million total, Dragic, who is in his second stint with the Phoenix Suns, has proven to be one of the most valuable and best bargains around the league. Dragic's shooting from both the three-point line and field put him near the very top of all NBA guards.

Damian Lillard, perhaps the most clutch player on this list, is just two years into his career, has already become an All-Star, landed a lucrative deal with Adidas, and has had his share of playoff moments. The Portland Trailblazers are fortunate to have Lillard under his rookie contract, paying him just under million total for the next two seasons. Lillard played in all 82 games last season, and is as consistent as any guard in the league.
