Not all rookies in the NBA have an instant impact. Thanks to the 2014 NBA Draft being filled with so much talent, we could see a bunch of rookies having success early on in the season. This summer’s draft class likely has many future stars. Let’s worry about players who could start right now, though.

These five rookies should start right away in the 2014-15 NBA season.

The Chicago Bulls are going to be stacked in the upcoming season. Sure, Doug McDermott is a rookie, but the Bulls could use help on the offensive side of the ball. McDermott was one of the best shooters in the draft, and he is more than capable of starting on Day 1.

Julius Randle was one of the most NBA-ready prospects in the draft. Plus, the Los Angeles Lakers are coming off of a season that they would like to forget. Putting a full roster together seemed like a chore at one point, but now things are starting to fall in place for the Lakers. With that said, Randle may be a rookie, but he is one of the most talented players on the roster.

3. Nerlens Noel, Philadelphia 76ers

Sure, Nerlens Noel was drafted in 2013, but he did not play a single game, so he is basically a rookie. Noel could have been picked No. 1 overall in the 2013 draft, but an injury killed that. Noel is back, healthy and impressed us all during the summer league.

2. Andrew Wiggins, Cleveland Cavaliers

Assuming Andrew Wiggins stays with the Cleveland Cavaliers, it would be in the team’s best interest to start him right away. Wiggins is one of the more talented players we have seen in quite some time, and learning next to LeBron James in Year 1 could kick start his career in a big way.

The Milwaukee Bucks needed a player in the draft who could start right away. Well, they got their guy in Jabari Parker. He is likely the most ready rookie out there, and he could become a star for the Bucks right off the bat.
