Anyone who knows anything about Mike Krzyzewski knows that the Duke basketball coach is legendary for more than just his basketball prowess. He’s always been known as a players’ coach who does a great job of developing young men, not just young basketball players.
So when Paul George, one of players on the US FIBA World Cup team that Krzyzewski is coaching, suffered a gruesome leg injury on Friday night, you just knew Coach K would be there to show his support.
Former Duke star Jay Williams caught this emotional scene, and shared it with the Twitter world:
This is the amazing man Coach K is. Been there. Coaching beyond basketball. pic.twitter.com/GQQfEyEdM4”

You might not like Coach K because of the basketball powerhouse that he’s built at Duke, but you can’t help but respect him for the fact that he builds such strong relationships with his players away from the court.
