The Cleveland Cavaliers seem determined to trade for Kevin Love, but I question the intelligence of that move in the long term. We all know superstars are choosy when it comes to free agency, and LeBron James is no different. Trade or no trade the small forward saw a roster he was intrigued by. Here are five reasons why the Cavs would be better off keeping Andrew Wiggins paired with the four-time MVP.

Yes, LeBron James is basically the GM of the Cavs at this moment, but they still cannot be afraid to exercise their own decision making at times. Pat Riley preferring Dwyane Wade's health to LeBron's stamina is partly what accounted for driving the best player on earth out the door, and now Dan Gilbert can operate from a position of leverage. That is mainly due to LeBron's letter that essentially locked him into a life-term contract.

Andrew Wiggins could be the small forward version of Tim Duncan replacing David Robinson, but it appears the Cavs are punting away that potential opportunity. Who will they rely on once LeBron leaves again either through retirement or free agency? Wiggins could be the answer if they play this right.

LeBron can always ditch the Cavs again, and Wiggins would probably reciprocate the loyalty if they kept the young Canadian around despite the King's trade demands. We'll have to see what roster they end up trotting out.

Nobody knows if LeBron is going to play until he is 40. Heck, we don't even know if he will play another season, opt out of his contract and make a switch to football. That would be much like the mid-career change of Michael Jordan to baseball after his third championship.

If LeBron were to leave them again, then the Cavs would need to have another superstar to step up in his absence. Kyrie Irving is the obvious candidate should that happen, but Andrew Wiggins would love to the opportunity to shine as well. We will have to see what happens in Ohio next year, and the basketball world seems to be in for a fun ride.
