NBA Trade Rumors: Top 5 Players Still On Block

The NBA has now officially become a sport followed all year long, and that should not change in the next few seasons. There are not that many players left on the trade block, but you also never know who will pop up as time progresses. Here are five players to keep an eye on the rest of the summer.

Rajon Rondo has been on the perpetual trade machine for the last five years, and it will not change this summer. The energetic point guard will be the focal point of the Boston Celtics next season if he is there, but that is not necessarily a good thing. He has rubbed his teammates and coaches the wrong way at times. We will have to see whether he is shown the door as a result.

I know this deal was reported as done earlier today, but it is not officially over until the fat lady sings. Andrew Wiggins cannot be traded for another couple weeks. That leaves time for the Golden State Warriors or a mystery suitor to come in with a massive offer that Flip Saunders decides to at least consider.

3. David Lee

David Lee could get moved for an assortment of players. His lack of defensive prowess sets him back at times, and you have to wonder if he will fit in with Steve Kerr's new style. It would not shock me to see the Warriors trade the big man in order to improve their bench depth.

The Brooklyn Nets probably did not see things shaking out this way. They recently lost Paul Pierce to the Washington Wizards, which shows you how much the Eastern Conference has changed in the last few years. Could Kevin Garnett get moved back to the Minnesota Timberwolves? I would not rule anything out with Flip Saunders, his former coach, acting as the decision-maker.

This slide assumes that the Golden State Warriors decide to make LeBron James truly mad, but that is not an absolutely crazy assumption. Maybe Steve Kerr will wake up next week and decide that he has to have Kevin Love in Golden State.
