The team that finishes with the best record in the regular season isn't always the team that goes on to win it all in the postseason. In this upcoming 2014-15 NBA season, I don't think that the Cleveland Cavaliers will finish with the best record in the NBA, but I believe that they will still be the best team in the league and here are five reasons why.

The current Cleveland Cavaliers roster has more championship experience than critics are giving it credit for. LeBron James, Anderson Varejao, Mike Miller, James Jones and Brendan Haywood have all been to the NBA Finals and only Varejao is ring-less. More players with Finals experience are heavily rumored to be headed to Cleveland in the likes of Ray Allen and Shawn Marion, so don't be surprised if they sign with the Cavs within the next month.

No single opponent in the league can match up with LeBron James, and his playing style has always made his teammates dangerous. There is no argument; LeBron will be playing with the best roster that he's ever seen and Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving will benefit from all of the defensive attention that LeBron will receive. The Cavs will score in the paint (layups) and from the perimeter at will with their lineup, they're going to be unstoppable.

Davlid Blatt has been compared to Gregg Popovich in terms of his offensive philosophy, which revolves around ball movement. We know that Popovich has embraced this "Euro" style of play for quite some time and he's always had the right international personnel to fit his system. Blatt has had success coaching and running this system overseas and now he has the league's most unselfish superstar in LeBron James, who will readily endorse this system.

2. Defense & Rebounding

The Cleveland Cavaliers may not have a prolific rim protector at the moment, but they'll still be a force to be reckoned with on the defensive end. On the inside, Anderson Varejao and Kevin Love will provide defense and rebounding respectively. On the perimeter, they have the athleticism of LeBron James and Dion Waiters, so Kyrie Irving's defensive deficiencies will be hidden and they might even sign the Matrix who still does it all.

LeBron James is the best basketball player on the planet. The man has two championship trophies, two NBA Finals MVP awards, four league MVP awards and the list goes on. One key ingredient that is paramount for dynasty-like success in the NBA is having the best player. With his legacy at stake, I believe James is hungrier than ever, so for a fan, what could be better?
