Earlier this week, the NBA announced team schedules for the 2014-15 season. With an exciting young core under the direction of a new head coach, it should be an interesting 82-game run for the Utah Jazz. Here are five games that stand out among the rest.

The Jazz have a history of interesting games in Atlanta. Two years ago, they fell to the Hawks 139-133 in the league's first four-overtime game since 1997. There will be intrigue surrounding the game once again in 2014-15, as it marks Quin Snyder's return to Atlanta against a team featuring former Jazzmen Paul Millsap, DeMarre Carroll and Kyle Korver in a similar offensive system.

As it stands now, this late-season matchup marks the only time that Utah will appear on ESPN. That could change as the season progresses, but it remains a game to look out for as the Jazz go toe to toe with an up-and-coming Wizards team that features the kind of exciting young core that the Jazz hope to develop.

From GM Dennis Lindsey down to head coach Quin Snyder, the Jazz have been inundated with former Spurs personnel. As such, many of San Antonio's philosophies are being emulated by the club. Not only will this be a measuring stick game for the young Jazz, but it carries the feel of a student/teacher showdown as well. It should be fun to see Dante Exum square off against Tony Parker.

The eyes of the league will be on Salt Lake City as the Jazz are one of the first teams to have a crack at the Cleveland Cavaliers and their superstar core of LBJ, Kyrie Irving and (barring unforeseen circumstances) Kevin Love. Can the three coexist? How will Dante Exum and Trey Burke fare against an All-Star point guard like Kyrie? It should be exciting to watch it all unfold.

The Houston Rockets have the distinction of being both the Opening Night opponent for the Jazz, as well as the team they'll see to close the campaign. It will be the ultimate indicator of the transformation and/or development that took place throughout the season for Utah. The Jazz hopes to have a better idea of what they truly have with young players like Dante Exum, Gordon Hayward, Alec Burks, Enes Kanter and Trey Burke.
