As we head into a new NBA season, there will be some players that we can't help but watch. Stephen Curry is not only one of those players, he's become the player to watch. The scrawny guard from Davidson that was doubted when drafted, has proved his worth and then some. Here are five reasons why Curry is the NBA's best offensive player.

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree when it comes to the Curry family. Curry's ability to score may have something to do with his father, Dell Curry, being one of the great shooters of his time. He played 16 years in the NBA, while averaging 11.7 points per game and shooting 40 percent from beyond the arc for his career.

If you haven't noticed, Curry is one of the best in the league at using his off-hand. He can make cross-court passes, lose his defender and finish at the rim with either hand. Usually defenders can pick a weakness to exploit like the weak off-hand, but this strategy is irrelevant to Curry. His ability to use both hands helped him average 8.5 assists per game last season.

Not only is Curry physically gifted to play basketball, but he has the brains for the games as well. Under the tutelage of former Warriors coach Mark Jackson, Curry matured into a great decision maker. Curry can set up teammates at the perfect times, just as easy as he can go off for 50 points. His knowledge of the game is sure to increase under new coach Steve Kerr.

Curry has emerged as one of the best shooters maybe ever. His shooting resume includes the most single-season three-pointers made in NBA history record (270) and the most three-pointers made in back to back seasons (479). Curry's quick release and ability to shoot off the dribble is a perfect storm for an unstoppable shooter.

There is no intimidation factor when looking at Curry and his frail stature. He might be 170 pounds soaking wet and at 6-feet-3, he's considered a smaller guard. The lack of respect that may come from his physical appearance is a quiet weapon in his arsenal. He is much stronger, faster and athletic than he appears, which is why he was able to average 24 point per game last season. You can't beat what you don't know is coming.
