5 Reasons Why LeBron James is NBA's Best Offensive Player

Kevin Durant and Carmelo Anthony may be great scorers, but I believe that great offense goes way beyond vying for the scoring title every year. Recently, Stephen Curry claimed that he was a better offensive player than LeBron James, which was laughable blasphemy because James is the NBA's best offensive player by a country mile. Here's why.

At 6-foot-8 with a 7-foot wingspan, LeBron James has no problem surveying the court and extending his body over defenders to make difficult passes look easy. James is often compared to Peyton Manning because of his ability to read defenses and make the right pass, and he's also known to be a student of the game. With his exceptional floor vision, it appears as if the game slows down for James, and he always seems to find the open man.

4. Ambidexterity

He signs autographs with his left hand, shoots jumpers with his right hand, favors his left hand on a layup, and favors his right hand when dunking, so what's the deal with this guy? LeBron James is fully ambidextrous, and most of us struggle to even hold a fork to our mouths with our weaker hand because our corpus callosums might just be a tad smaller than his. James' ability to use both hands equally makes him unpredictable and unguardable.

3. Athleticism & Physique

You may have seen the pictures of a slimmer LeBron James circulating on the internet, but don't be fooled by your eyes -- LeBron James is still the "beast of the east." James' strength and athleticism have allowed him to dominate other SFs who are all undersized when compared to him. He has the body of a PF to post-up down low, and the speed and agility of a guard to get to the rim as much as he likes for arguably the easiest FGAs in the NBA.

2. Unlimited Range

Don't think that LeBron James is just a "dunker" like most casual NBA fans believe. If you pay attention to the game of basketball, then you know that LeBron James has improved his mid-range game and his 3-point shot by leaps and bounds. Over the last two seasons, James has made over 200 threes while converting at a 39 percent clip, which is elite by the NBAs standards. With his unlimited range, opposing defenses have no way to guard him now.

Not only has James' outside game improved, his overall FG% has improved too, and this really is a credit to his desire to get better each year. James will never force bad shots trying to go for 50-plus. As a perimeter player, he scores 27 PPG easily with a center's FG efficiency. 2015 MVP?
