5 Reasons Why Charlotte Hornets Will Continue To Improve in 2014-15

The Charlotte Hornets took some major steps forward last season, and they should take another leap in 2015. The acquisition of Lance Stephenson will hopefully help matters, but that addition is a bit of a wild card to say the least. There are other things to be excited about as well, and I anticipate Michael Jordan's team making the playoffs again in the 2014-15 season. Here are five reasons the Hornets will be better in the year to come.

We all remember the Adam Morrison draft pick. Michael Jordan has a history of being emotional and taking over decision-making when it comes to the NBA Draft in particular. The Hornets' owner has since made that habit a thing of the past, which will better serve the improvement of his franchise.

Lance Stephenson had his bad moments last season. You all know that I am talking about him blowing into the ear of LeBron James, but there were a lot of other antics that went down as well that I will not mention now. The shooting guard could be quite effective for the Hornets, though, and we should all look forward to seeing how he can adjust to life out on the East Coast.

3. Al Jefferson Will Be Healthy

Al Jefferson did not enter last postseason fully healthy, and only next fall will prove whether he can come back at top form. He showed some sparks of "Big Al" last season, though. I think he will come back with another All-Star campaign.

The name change from the Charlotte Bobcats to Charlotte Hornets could not have come at a better time, and you can expect them to build off of their playoff run last season. This adjustment will also help them sell a lot more jerseys and merchandise.

The Hornets have some talented rookies coming along next season, although it will be interesting to see if any of them get playing time right off the bat. P.J. Hairston was an elite floor spacer with the North Carolina Tar Heels, but he was plagued by trouble off the court throughout his time at college.
