Fans of basketball have been witnessing Kevin Durant forge his own path with countless achievements and this season won’t be any different. The NBA All-Star Game is more about entertaining the fans, than anything else. Despite the fun-filled atmosphere, the game still contains the best basketball players in the world and winning the MVP is nothing to scoff at. Durant was able to steal the coveted trophy by finishing with 36 points, seven rebounds, and three assists.

From day one, Kevin Durant asserted his dominance on the NBA. He was able to grab the NBA Rookie of the Year award by averaging 20.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game. It was a great farewell gift for the Seattle SuperSonics’ fans.

Along side the likes of LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, and Carmelo Anthony, Durant was able to represent his country in the highest form. Durant was able to grasp a Gold medal with a victory over Spain in the Gold Medal game.

After continually finishing second in voting behind LeBron James, Durant was finally able to get over the hump in 2014. In a season which saw Durant play out of his mind almost every night, Durant was finally recognized for his efforts. Durant finished last season by averaging 32 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game.

This isn’t exactly an accomplishment in the positive sense, but it’s something nonetheless. All NBA players fight every year to get to play in the NBA Finals and Durant got his chance in 2012. Of course that chance happened to be against the greatest basketball player on earth, LeBron James. The Miami Heat would take the series 4-1 and Durant has yet to return since.
