Predicting The Golden State Warriors' Player Rotation in 2014-15 By Daron Grandberry PREV NEXT Golden State Warriors: Predicting Player Rotation in 2014-15 Getty Images Entering their first season under head coach Steve Kerr, a lot of questions surround the young Golden State Warriors. Although the Warriors are equipped with one of the best back-courts in the entire NBA, their defensive ability has yet to be seen. If the Warriors can get some production on both sides of the ball from their bench players, expect another playoff contention season. Point Guard Getty Images Point Guard Getty Images Entering his sixth season in the league, Steph Curry is coming off a superb 2013-14, averaging a career-best 24.0 PPG, 8.5 APG and 4.3 RPG. With the addition of 6-foot-7 point guard Shaun Livingston, don't be surprised to see Curry play more off the ball, which could be trouble for opposing teams. Shooting Guard Getty Images Shooting Guard Getty Images If Klay Thompson can duplicate his summer production from the U.S. National Team, Golden State Warriors fans should be very excited. The three-point specialist is shooting over 50 percent in the FIBA Basketball World Cup and more than 41 percent from beyond the three-point line. If Leandro Barbosa can come in and give the Warriors 10-15 good solid minutes, the team will be much improved. Small Forward Getty Images Small Forward Getty Images The Warriors return all three small forwards from last year's team and all should see considerable minutes early on under new head coach Steve Kerr. Iguodala proved to be a great fit with the Warriors in his first season, but Harrison Barnes will be the key to the Warriors' success. If Barnes can produce off the bench and become the Warriors' consistent sixth-man, opponents better watch out. Power Forward Getty Images Power Forward Getty Images Once again the Warriors will be thin in the post. Although David Lee returns for his fifth season in Golden State, Marreese Speights and James Michael McAdoo aren't necessarily the best back-up forwards in the league. While Speights and Lee are capable scorers, both are undersized at their position and horrible defenders. Center Getty Images Center Getty Images Like the forward position, the Warriors again are shallow at the center position. The Warriors return both Andrew Bogut and Festus Ezeli from last season's team, but with Bogut's injured past, they should've looked for insurance at the center position. If Bogut can play more than 70 games this upcoming season, the Warriors should be fine. Sixth-Man Getty Images Sixth-Man Getty Images With their depth, the Warriors have a few potential candidates for the sixth-man, but the most important player off the bench has to be Harrison Barnes. During his two seasons, Barnes has averaged 9.3 PPG and 4.1 RPG in Golden State and is due for a breakout season. If the Warriors can find a way to get Barnes 25-30 minutes, the team might run opponents out of the gym. Rest of Rotation Getty Images Rest of Rotation Getty Images The Warriors are a pretty well-balanced team. With the addition of Leandro Barbosa, the Warriors can go as deep as nine or 10 quality reserves. If Barbosa, Draymond Green or Brandon Rush can earn some consistent playing time and defend, the Warriors will be in great shape. We know everyone in Golden State can score, but will they be able to defend?
