Despite their late-season struggles, hopes were still relatively high for what the Indiana Pacers could accomplish in the 2014-15 NBA season. After an offseason of departures and injuries, hopes are decidedly lower now. They still have to run a team onto the floor this season, though, and this is what the guys they’re going to play in their rotation is expected to look like.

Hill certainly isn’t a player that strikes a great deal of awe or excitement in anyone who watches him, but he’s been a solid player in Indiana outside of the end of last season. It’ll be curious to see how he performs with less weapons around him, but it’s definitively his job in Indy.

Now that Lance Stephenson is making his residence in Charlotte, the Pacers are looking to replace him on the wing and Miles will likely be Option A in that plan. Miles isn’t the player Stephenson is, but he’s a solid, experienced option that could very well be a positive for Indiana.

Though it’s exciting to see Copeland getting the opportunity to see the floor, this position is a tough blow for Indiana considering the Paul George injury this summer. Copeland could perform quite well, but he’s never going to be the player that George is.

Back to some consistency for the Pacers, West has been a stalwart for this team. Even in their struggles, he’s seemed somewhat immune and the guy trying to stabilize this team. With the adversity they’ll be facing, West will have a great deal to try and stabilize.

Hibbert might be under the microscope more than anyone this season. His struggles at the end of last season were highly publicized and now the spotlight is even brighter on him. With less focus elsewhere on this team, Hibbert could be in for a make-or-break year.

Sixth Man: Rodney Stuckey

Stuckey was a big signing for Indiana this offseason and is Option B in the replacing-Lance-Stephenson project. He also doesn’t offer the defense that Stephenson did, but he can bring spurts of quality scoring and offense to the Pacers.

The rest of the bench for the Pacers gets kind of ugly. C.J. Watson and Luis Scola could play big roles off of the bench, but no one else outside of that eight-man rotation really seems like they’re going to receive a ton of run in Indiana. Needless to say, the outlook isn’t the greatest for this team.
