Predicting the Phoenix Suns' Player Rotation In 2014-15

The Phoenix Suns have endured a tumultuous offseason to say the least. The whole Eric Bledsoe situation has gone sour, overshadowing the built up excitement for the upcoming season. Either way, the youthful roster is bound to make waves in the loaded Western Conference. Making the playoffs may be out of the realm of possibilities, but Phoenix will certainly pose a threat to those competing for a spot.

Goran Dragic dominated the NBA last season, averaging 20 points and six assists per game, even wiggling his way into MVP talks at times. So, seeing that Dragic is entering a contract year in which he can potentially secure himself a maximum contract, I fully expect him to continue his dominant ways. There's really no threat at this time to compete for the starting point guard position.

Still without a contact, Eric Bledsoe will in all likelihood wind up signing the qualifying offer in an attempt to get paid next summer. Personally, I believe Phoenix management should trade him immediately to avoid any type of conflict to soil the season, but that doesn't seem to be the plan at the moment. When content, Bledsoe is an outstanding defender whose explosiveness has landed him on numerous highlight reels.

Until last season, P.J. Tucker was nothing more than another rotation player in this league. In 2013-14, he finally emerged as one of the friskiest players in the league, constantly antagonizing his opponents. As his scoring ability has improved, Tucker's play is vital to sustaining success in Phoenix. The Suns were fortunate to lock up the swingman this summer, inking him to a three-year, .5 million contract.

In order to get the most out of Markieff Morris, he must be paired up with his twin brother Marcus Morris. Although both Morris brothers are tremendous players, Markieff Morris' persistence has shown that he is capable of being the permanent starter at power forward. Much like Dragic, Morris will be headed into a contract year that could land him his first big payday since being drafted into the league in 2011.

The Suns acquired Miles Plumlee before the start of last season for basically nothing in exchange. Stuck in a log-jammed front court with the Indiana Pacers, Plumlee never received sufficient playing time to prove himself until the 2013-14, starting 79 games. Averaging a solid eight points and eight rebounds per game, Plumlee's game will continue to evolve as he remains the starter for next year.

Sixth Man - Isaiah Thomas

Phoenix went off of the map signing Isaiah Thomas to a bargain deal worth four years, million. Thomas has proved to be extremely useful in the past, showing that he can produce either in the starting lineup or off the bench. Given the current Bledsoe situation, Thomas also serves as a great alternative if the guard decides to play elsewhere. Until then, Thomas will be seeing the majority of his minutes off of the bench.

GM Ryan McDonough decided to collect as many assets and draft picks as humanly possible in his rebuilding years and they are finally paying dividends. Phoenix's bench is incredibly young, containing a talented prospect at almost every position. Unfortunately, there are only a certain number of minutes to be passed around, so players like T.J. Warren and Tyler Ennis are going to have to earn their minutes in practice.
