New owner Steve Ballmer has given new hope to the Los Angeles Clippers with his deep pockets and limitless enthusiasm, and now that Donald Sterling is a thing of the past, it seems like they are ready to take another step towards a championship. I'm still not sure if this is their year, however, they are certainly getting closer. Here are five things you can expect without a doubt from the Clippers this season.

Blake Griffin has gotten better each and every season spent in the NBA, and I do not think he has quite hit his ceiling yet. We will have to see if his jump shot has become a lethal weapon yet, but eventually Griffin is going to become our generation's Karl Malone. With time, "Bad Blake" will morph into a physical force of nature who also has mastered the midrange jump shot.

Doc Rivers could end up winning Coach of the Year, but he should also get consideration as Executive of the Year due to all of his brilliant moves this summer. He had a stellar offseason, with both roster and coaching additions.

DeAndre Jordan's horrendous free throw shooting has been chronicled here on many occasions, and that was the main reason Rivers added Spencer Hawes to this team. You will see their new addition out on the floor during fourth quarters more often than not.

2. Chris Paul Will Get Hurt

It seems to have become a regular occurrence for Chris Paul to have some mild injury happen during the season, but he always finds a way to get back into form by the time playoffs roll around. My bet is on another finger injury.

This is definitely a bold prediction. Some might say it is not realistic and possibly even absurd, but I disagree. The Clippers had the best offseason of any team, except for maybe the Cleveland Cavaliers, and LA should be able to finally get over the hump in a loaded Western Conference to face whoever comes out of the East.
