2014-15 marks a new beginning for Dwyane Wade. After partnering up with his good friend LeBron James for the past four years, Wade will now regain his throne as the face of the Miami Heat franchise. Heading into 2014-15, here are five goals for Wade to achieve this season.

Since the summer of 2010, the presence of LeBron James made many forget about Dwyane Wade. The former champion and face of the franchise was relegated to the role of sidekick. With James now back home in Cleveland, Wade needs to set out to remind everyone that he was and always will be the man in South Beach.

Once upon a time, Dwyane Wade was viewed as one of the NBA's best shooting guards, only behind Kobe Bryant. If Wade wants to prove to everyone that he wasn't just along for the ride during Miami's "Big Three" era, then he must prove to everyone that he is still one of the best shooting guards the NBA has to offer.

As with every NBA superstar, Dwyane Wade's legacy will always be based on what he accomplishes in the playoffs. With the Miami Heat featuring a new group of players, Wade will have to lead the Heat to a Southwest Division title so that he can guarantee Miami has home-court advantage in at least one playoff series.

2. Beat LeBron James

No matter what Dwyane Wade says in public, there is no way he was fine with LeBron James joining his team in order to chase an NBA Championship, only to leave at the first chance he got. When Miami takes on Cleveland in the regular season and possibly in the playoffs, Wade should want to get revenge on James and his new cast of All-Star teammates.

In order to achieve all of the previous goals, Dwyane Wade has to accomplish one thing first, and that is to stay healthy. Throughout his career, Wade has been plagued with various injuries that have slowed him down, and they have even caused him to miss significant amounts of time. Since he is once again the No. 1 option, Wade will have to remain healthy if he and the Heat hope to have any kind of success in 2014-15.
