5 Things You Probably Didn’t Know About Kevin Durant

Some would say Russell Westbrook is Durant's right-hand man, but that honor belongs to his backpack. Durant is always seen with his backpack on after the game and he even has his own line of backpacks with his initials on them. It's safe to say, wherever Durant goes, his backpack is always right by his side.

It might come to a surprise to many because Durant has such a calm demeanor, but he is a big fan of tattoos. His whole front and back is covered with tattoos and he has the word "Maryland" in big letters up near his back shoulders. Pretty safe to say that the extra ink doesn't slow him down much whenever he is on the court.

If Durant wasn't playing basketball, his next goal in life would to be a rapper. The reigning MVP would love to take his game on the court and turn it into a career on the mic when all is said and done. It may be weird to see Durant out of his element -- outside of the basketball court -- but his music could be found all across the internet for those interested in hearing him.

The release of NBA 2K15 took place in early October and Durant was lucky enough to grace the cover. When he was asked about what player he likes to play with in the game, Durant humbly responded with LeBron James. One would think that he would play as himself, but Durant being Durant went with King James as his player of choice.

Call him KD and call him K-Smooth, but make sure you don't call Durant the Slim Reaper. He isn't fond of his nickname because it's affiliated with death and Durant would rather be seen in a different way. It's not like he despises the nickname or anything -- it's just a matter of preference and if KD speaks, we all should listen.
