The Milwaukee Bucks have historically had some decent seasons, but unfortunately, that is a thing of the past. For the most part, the Bucks of the last 25 years have not been very good, which has depressed fans in Milwaukee immensely. Here are the five toughest things about being a Bucks fan.

Yes, I’m well aware Herb Kohl no longer owns the team. And yes, I’m eternally grateful for that happening. Even with two new spectacular owners, Kohl’s legacy will continue to live on until the Bucks turn it around. Kohl’s stubbornness that prevented the team from ever falling low enough to get decent draft picks screwed the franchise up for over a decade. It was his stubbornness in general that prevented a lot of good from happening.

The Bucks have just two winning seasons in the last 10 years. And in those two seasons, they lost in the first round of the playoffs both times. People like to talk about how Milwaukee has one of the worst attendance records season after season, but a big reason for that is the constant losing. The team’s franchise-worst 15-67 record last season was the cherry on top of the cake.

When teams miss on first-round draft picks in consecutive seasons, it has a devastating effect for several years. Look no further than Milwaukee’s misses from 2007-2009, 2011. Yi Jianlian and Joe Alexander are out of the league, while Brandon Jennings and Jimmer Fredette were traded. The Bucks have yet to recover from such colossal mistakes by management. Hopefully, the last two seasons (Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jabari Parker) will end the droug

2. Players Rarely Want to Play in Milwaukee

The Bucks never sign headline-grabbing free agents because the harsh reality is quality players don’t want to play Milwaukee, unless of course there is a lot of money being offered. It’s tough on the fans when the big grabs are Dan Gadzuric, Bobby Simmons, Drew Gooden and O.J. Mayo. Talk about players who were not deserving of their money. Of course, Mayo could still prove us wrong. Then there’s the Stephen Jackson experiment.

1. Lack of Championships

One of the toughest things on sports fans in general is their team not winning championships. To follow the same team for decades and not have the glory of watching them win once is frustrating. The Bucks have only one NBA championship to their name, which occurred in 1971. Heck, their last division title was 14 years ago.
