With new management in place, the Los Angeles Clippers will once again look to contend for a Western Conference title. If the Clippers can remain healthy and get production from their rotation players they will definitely be contenders. Is this the season the Clippers finally make the finals? Or will they once again fall short of a Western Conference title?

Although the Los Angeles Clippers lost several rotation players like Danny Granger and Jared Dudley, the the biggest subtraction from last season's team was the departure of backup point guard Darren Collison. The Clippers will miss Collison's defensive intensity and ability to play alongside Chris Paul.

Although the Clippers did not add an All-Star caliber player during the 2014 offseason, the additions of Chris Douglas-Roberts, Ekpe Udoh, Spencer Hawes and Jordan Farmar were all important in their own right. Both Hawes and Udoh add depth in the post and give the Clippers two additional rebounders. With his pesky defense and athletic abilities, Douglas-Roberts may be the most important addition of the offseason.

Chris Paul (PG), J.J. Redick (SG), Matt Barnes (SF), Blake Griffin (PF) and DeAndre Jordan (C). Head coach Doc Rivers likes to bring former Sixth Man of the Year Jamal Crawford off the bench for his explosiveness, but if Matt Barnes continues to struggle from outside Crawford or Douglas-Roberts may get the start instead.

Unless Matt Barnes continues to struggle from the perimeter, Jamal Crawford will be the first player off the bench for Doc Rivers and the Clippers. Expect newcomer Chris Douglas-Roberts to also see considerable minutes off the bench with his good defensive abilities. If Spencer Hawes, Ekpe Udoh or Glenn Davis can contribute in the post for Los Angeles, the Clippers will be serious contenders. Will depth be an issue?

The Clippers will go as far as Blake Griffin takes them. If Griffin, Chris Paul and the rest of the Clippers can remain healthy and play consistent defense for an entire 48 minutes, the Clippers can improve from last season's third place finish.

Prediction: 59-23
